THE RISING PRICES
Or, RISING PRICES AND THE COMMON MAN
Or, PRICE-HIKE Or PRICE-RISE
Prices are touching the sky these days. Several factors have contributed to
the rose in prices. The devaluation of money is the first cause of rising prices.
The devoluation affects purchasing power of money. Naturally people have to
face the crisis createdby the rise in prices.
Black marketers and hoarders are also responsible for rise in prices. Some
Dusinessmen hoard essential commodities of daily use. A state of artificial
Scarcity is created in the market. Naturally, people have to buy these commodities
or fancy price.
Rise in prices has affected the people of the middle class society and lower
lass society. There is only one wage-earner. He has to support all he members of
IS family with his scanty income. The people of the lower class society do not
et wages in proportion to their labour. Such people are the worst victims of
ISing prices.
Rising prices have made life miserable: People have to toil hard rounced
e clock to make both ends meet. They always haunted by cares and worries.
1se in prices in undermining moral stamina of the society. Hungry and naked,
ome children fall prey to the evil ofexploitation. Youngmen land themselves in
iSon to fulfil their bare needs. Poor girls have to walk the street. Hardy young
n, 1nstead ofbeing the sentimets of the country, turn criminal.
Unless therise in prices is checkedby the Government, society will conti
to be the hotbed of corruption. The Government should control the activities
the hoarders with an iron hand.
