educational force in the modern world. As English has become an international
language, today, besides the British novels, we have the Indian, African, Canadian
and many other novels in English.

Malgaonkar, Anita Desai, Arun Joshi, Vikram Seth, Amitav Ghosh, Shashi
Tharoor, Arundhati Roy, Rajkamal Jha and Kiran Desai have done important
